The tourist was enjoying her free time with her husband when they headed to the bar for a drink. It is not clear which of the London bars they were in, but they say that after explaining their mistake, the bar forgave their account, which makes many people skeptical of their story.
“My husband and I spent a few days in London. We went to the bar, where I ordered a cocktail that cost 18.90, but I thought that was its price, 18.90 Libier (21.63€). Then they presented me with a bill for 2,000 Libiers (€2,288.88), but I told them I can’t afford it anymore,” she said in the video.
“When I found out that the cocktail I ordered cost 2,000 Libiers (€2,288.88), I showed my husband the bill and he was angry with me. He left the bar but left me there alone to solve it. I told the young guy behind the bar, I’m already very angry because I didn’t take a shower, it already costs 1,890 Libier (€2,162.84). In the menu it was written one eight, a space, nine zero, so I assumed that it already costs 18.90 livres (€21.63), so it was definitely my mistake, but it was a real mistake,” the entrepreneur continued in the second video.
“We both started to panic and then called our manager. We are allowed to stay in a five-star hotel, so the manager was very discreet. He said, it’s fine, but I don’t have to worry about it anymore,” approached the situation. However, some commentators were not convinced about the story. “It can’t be true,” introduced jeden z nich. “I can’t believe one cocktail can cost that much,” added another.
