Sagan is getting used to the new style. I went hiking, commented on the painful-looking fall in Italy – Cyklistika

It has been known for a long time, even for Slovenian cycling legend Peter Sagan, that 2023 will be his last in the professional peloton.

When he announced that his career was over, he prepared good news for sad fans. We will see the Slovak again, but Peter will switch from cestného to horský bicykel.

Its goal is to qualify for next year’s Olympic Games in Paris in the XCO disciplines, that is, the cross country race.

In this area, the Slovak is no newcomer. As a junior, he became the world champion in cross country, but practically grew up on a choir bike. He also competed at the “horák” seven years ago at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The break was a long one, but Peťo still didn’t perform as well in the cross country as on the roads. Most recently, he trained in the Italian Finale Ligure, where he even allowed himself to go down a dangerous-looking descent.

The ride, in which Sagan was also accompanied by the Slovenian cyclist Simona Kuchyňková, ended with a painful-looking fall.

Sagan, however, immediately became numb and stated with a smile on his face that he was already “in full swing”. The racer announced on the social network that Sagan is already getting used to the new style of racing, but if he continues like this until now, we have something to look forward to.
