World competition Miss Universe 2023 met its winner. Sheynnis Palacios, a 23-year-old contestant from Nicaragua, won the crown in El Salvador. Thailand’s Anntonia Porsild finished in second place, while Australia’s Moraya Wilson took third place.

At the 72nd edition of the competition, 84 young women from all over the world competed. The audience was accompanied by moderator Jeannie Mai, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and Maria Menounos. John Legend played and sang to those on the stage and to the audience in the audience.

Two transgender women presented themselves at the competition. Rikkie Kollé (22) was crowned Miss Holland in July, and 23-year-old Miss Portugal Marina Machete. The model called “Ethereal Serenity” was designed by Puhová herself, realized by designer Yvona Leitner. As the finalist of the world competition introduced, each of its elements was carefully selected, from the ecological fabric coming from responsible suppliers to the age-old craftsmanship, which guarantees long life and long-lasting wear. “On the cloths are piled up fine sheaves of wheat. These motifs are carefully placed along the hem of the blouse and the edge of the skirt. Zlaté nita sa jemne trblietajú, they evoke the face of the Slovenian landscape and the river Dunaj and symbolize my native Žitný ostrov,” described Puhová. He plans to devote himself to the topics of permanent sustainability and sustainable fashion in the future as well.

Before Pravda.sk, she described her impressions of the competition, which are still very fresh. “I’ve had an unbelievable 2 weeks behind me, which for me are the shortest and at the same time the most demanding in my life. I am grateful for the beautiful experiences and the number of accompanying programs, even though it hurts for days when I only sleep for 4-5 hours,” he describes and adds: “For me, this competition was a fulfillment of the material and also an honor, I was able to represent Slovenia at such a prestigious world competition . I thank the entire Miss Slovensko team and the competition director Michaela Kováčik for professional preparation, help and support on my journey.”

Ako added, they were also charmed by Salvador, whom they were able to meet thanks to the organizers of the competition. “We had the opportunity to see live an active volcano, but also the beautiful coast of Salvador. We had a tour of the capital and tasted local specialties,” she added.

Kinga Puhová entered the world of modeling as a teenager. “It all started when I was 14 years old. I got my first contract but I started traveling around the world as a model,” she described to Pravda.sk and added: “Modeling brings me a lot of amazing experiences and thanks to it I visited many countries, got to know and understood cultural and religious differences and met many wonderful people , who helped me become stronger, more visible and more educated. This gave me the opportunity to explore other aspects of the fashion industry. After finishing my studies, I entered the University of Fashion Business, but I realized that fashion is not just about clothes and trends, but it is also a social, economic and, unfortunately, ecological issue.” That’s why she decided to create her own sustainable collection with biologically degradable components or recycled fibers.
